This creamy yellow liquid is a great way to incorporate turmeric into your day, especially if you like warm, cozy drinks that are healing and filling.

Ingredients
  • 1 can of lite coconut milk (the full fat is waaay to rich for me)
  • ½ cup of non-dairy milk (I used soy milk)
  • 1 pinch of whole cloves
  • 2 tsp ground turmeric (organic if you can)
  • 1 generous pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 1 generous pinch of ground allspice
  • 1 pinch of coarse black pepper
  • maple syrup or Stevia powder if sweetness is needed
  • ground cinnamon or cinnamon sticks
Instructions
  1. Heat the lite coconut milk, non-dairy milk, and cloves in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. When the milk begins to simmer, whisk in the ground turmeric and turn down to low heat.
  3. Add the nutmeg, allspice, and black pepper and gently whisk.
  4. Taste the mixture and if it needs to be sweetened, add a splash of maple syrup or a small pinch of Stevia powder.
  5. Once your mixture reaches the desired temperature, pour into mug and top with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or cinnamon stick and another pinch of black pepper.
